Yep, this is Lucas sitting and playing in the dirt...while the game is going on. :)
Hey little lady!
The next day we went and visited my grandma who was so excited to see the girls. These videos are just the sweetest!
Then of course Auntie Ashley came to visit! While she was there, Avery got her very first haircut. Yep, almost 3 years old and just got her first haircut.
Avery and Lucas got to spend a lot of time together also. They couldn't wait to see each other!
We were able to spend Father's Day with my dad even though we were not with Dave. He was busy roofing our house with his dad and some of our friends. Robyn and I and our spouses gave my dad a new Weber grill for Father's Day. He has had his current grill for 37 years! I think he was a bit sad to let it go...
Thankfully we tested out the grill first....
While visiting, we also got to spend some time with a couple of my friends and their babies.
Avery also painted my dad's toe nails! I am pretty sure that they are back to normal by now! Such a good sport....but isn't that what being a grandpa is all about?
One of our favorite events of the week was the Tinker Bell party Auntie Robyn took us to. Their park district held this party and Avery was so excited! Auntie Robyn even bought her pixie wings to wear.
Learning the Tinker Bell dance
Then before the girls left, Tinker Bell gave them some pixie dust so they could visit her in Neverland in their dreams. Before they could get the dust, they had to tell her their happy thought. This is Avery pointing at her and tell Tinker Bell that she is her happy thought...
Pixie Dust time!
When we came home, I walked in to see this....looks like Ryen is a hockey fan already.
10 minutes later, she was still watching the game! (Check out that lack of hair...poor little lady!)
Sneaky little Avery thought that the ice cream we brought home for Papa was also hers....
Avery went with Papa and Gaga to pick up Auntie Ashley from the train station too.
Later that night, my sisters and mom and I went out for dinner. Just the 4 of us- I can't remember the last time we did that. It was so much fun and I am looking forward to the next time we can do it.
This was Ryen's face all day long! She loved all the fish tanks and was completely hooked.
Petting the barnacles...
Sisters
We had so much fun and were definitely busy, but we are happy to be home that is for sure! Now time for laundry, dishes and grocery shopping!
