Happy Thanksgiving!

On Thursday, we celebrated Thanksgiving with Dave's parents.  We began that morning bright and early... 4:30 am early!  Avery was obviously very excited to tell us how thankful she was to have us as parents so felt the need to be up very early.  I think Dave and I have become spoiled with her sleeping until at least 6:00!  Avery and I watched the Macy's parade, a family tradition in my house even though Dave could care less!  Of course she had a special Thanksgiving Day outfit to wear!

 little ugg boots will distract you from her bald little head!

Despite what her outfit says, we still know that she is a big time Daddy's girl!!

In addition to hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa all day...

Avery also learned the longtime tradition of playing Farkel after a big Thanksgiving meal!!  She was Daddy's and Grandpa's good luck charm!

Finally, we have been trying so hard to get a smile or a giggle on camera to share with everyone.  Unfortunately, as soon as the camera is picked up, the smile runs away!!  (Chandler Bing anyone??)  We get to hear her giggle and see her smile all the time and want to share that with all of you.  So this is the best we could do this time around....

As the weekend came to a close, we ventured out Friday afternoon (not with the masses in the morning) to begin our annual Christmas decoration shopping.  Now that the weather is getting colder, Avery will have to get used to this contraption!  

Hope everyone's bellies are full and you are all feeling thankful.  We feel so lucky to have been blessed with our little girl this year.

Halloween-  Avery was lucky enough to have 3 Halloween costumes this year!  I don't think I will be able to keep up with that every year!

While Robyn and Lucas were visiting we used this as an opportunity to get some pictures taken of the kids and us moms together.  It was far more difficult than we had thought!  Although, Lucas was quite amused by the ghosts in our front yard!

November:  Last week my friends at school threw another coworker and I a baby shower.  Best part?  Everyone brings diapers or wipes!  I think we are set for a bit!

We recently had a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad!  Here are some pictures from the weekend with the family.  Avery was a party animal!  She stayed up with us until 11:45 and was super happy the entire time.  She slept through the night and woke up as happy as can be the next morning!

Quick 3 month update

Hello everyone!  I have not done a very good job of updating this recently.  So, I am giving you just a quick blog update with Avery's 3 month pictures that we took and then I will be posting a longer, picture filled blog later this week containing everything from our pumpkin carving contest, Halloween, a baby shower and my dad's birthday.  Stay tuned...it will be worth it!


But, to hold you over, here is our little girl on her 3 month birthday!
