Daisypath Happy Birthday tickers

10.16.2011

So, it's been awhile....

It has been about two months now since we last updated.  With mom going back to work and Avery being on the move more than ever, it has been hard to find the time to sit and update.  So, to make it up to you, this will primarily be pictures with some captions to catch you up on what we have been doing.  :)  Enjoy!

Also, to everyone who attended Avery's birthday party and/or sent a gift, we have your thank you note.  They have been written for awhile now, we just keep forgetting to get stamps.  They will be in the mail this week!  Promise!!

Avery has loved playing with all of her birthday gifts, which we are so thankful for.  We have learned that she loves things with wheels!  We could be in trouble when she starts driving!  :)

She loves her baby doll.  We even catch her at times "burping" and rocking her.
Avery also loves her feet!  She tries to bite them when she is playing, riding in the carseat or being changed...silly girl.

Our dear friends Clint and Georgia live on a gorgeous private lake.  I took this picture one evening and just love this moment between Dave and Avery...

Another weekend, Auntie Ashley came to visit for a night.  We love that her new job allows for her to have Sundays off work.

Since school has started, it has been hard for us to see family as much as we would like.  One of my day's off, Avery and I went and visited GiGi and Aunt Donna for the day.  Avery and Lucas got to play in the leaves, and thanks to Aunt Donna, Avery had her first experience climbing a tree!! :)

Avery is also going through a bit of separation anxiety at times.  She really likes when all three of us are in the same room playing together.  She especially has a hard time when daddy needs to use the restroom.  :)

At the end of September, our town celebrated the World Wide Day of Play.  They shut down part of our downtown area and set up a giant play area for kids of all ages.  There was a stage with music, dancing, organize games, and stations set up for the kids.  We were so excited that there was so much for Avery to play with.  We will definitely be attending again next year!

We played with the legos for quite some time...until she began throwing them at other children.
The following weekend, Aunt Donna and Uncle Chuck invited Dave and I to the Green Bay vs Chicago Bears game.  We of course were excited to go!  Thankfully my mom and dad weren't to bummed out to hang out with Avery!

A few days after that, Avery and I had dinner with some of my work friends to celebrate my birthday.  We got there a bit early, so I was excited to get this silly picture of Avery.  That is a rugburn on her forehead.  She fell out the front door of our baby-sitter's house.  We think it makes her tough!

Of course, you can't celebrate a birthday without cupcakes!

For my birthday, Daver and I went to see one of our favorite bands in Chicago with Ashley and Patrick.  The Avett Brothers played at the Aragon Ballroom and thankfully Auntie Robyn was excited to help out and watch Avery with my parents.  This was our first time being gone all night and not there when she woke up in the morning.  We had a great time, but we were excited to see Avery in the morning!

All ready to go....
Of course, being in Chicago means a stopy at GiGi Carrion's house for a visit.  Uncle Skip and Aunt Les were there too!

There is a great little pumpkin farm in Normal that has been around for years.  When Dave and I first began dating, this farm had just opened and when you bought a pumpkin, you put your money in a coffee can and honestly made your own change from the change box.  Now, it is a full pumpkin farm with a petting zoo, hayrack rides, playgrounds, a corn maze, and much more!  Rader's Farm is a great place to visit if you haven't yet!  Avery loves the petting zoo!

Avery is no longer a big fan of the stroller....except when she can push it.  :)
That's about all for now.  I promise it will not be another 2 months until the next update!
