Professional Pictures

When Avery was only 3 weeks old, we had professional pictures taken of her.  Since many people were unable to get the link to work, we have posted some of our favorites.  Enjoy!  Please don't print these...we own the rights to all the pictures and would be happy to make a copy if someone would like one.  This is our photographer's website-  http://site.imaginatephotography.com/?load=flash

A Week in the Burbs

Last week all of our friends and their children decided to drive to St. Louis and enjoy a nice cool fall day at the St. Louis Zoo.  However, we got a nice, hot 92 degree day in St. Louis.  It was very crowded, but the kiddos had a great time!  Thank goodness Nellie was willing to feed her on the way home!

As a final hurrah before going back to work this upcoming Monday, I decided to take a trip to the suburbs to visit some friends and family.  Avery and I sadly said goodbye to Daddy and drove away in a very packed car!  It requires a bit more to travel with a baby.  We were able to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Carrion, Great Grandma Carrion, Uncle Skip and Aunt Les, Auntie Ashley, the Antfellners and Avery finally got to meet my friends Jackie, Jenene and Jamie!  We were very busy over the course of just a few days and Avery did a great job traveling.  She slept in the car, no matter where we were going and did a great job being passed from person to person.

Tuesday was a visit with Great Grandma...

On Wednesday, Avery and Auntie Ashley got to spend some quality time together...

Hand Holding Time!!!!

On Thursday, Avery spent the day with Lucas and the evening with Aunt Robyn and Uncle Ralph...

Aunt Nik and Lucas made cookies together!

On Friday we came back, put on my party dress and went to a birthday party for our friend Leo and got to hang out with some of my favorite people...

This weekend will be busy and then on Monday, I go back to work for the first time since May!  I hope I still have what it takes!  We are so fortunate that our dear friend Thayre will be watching Avery for us.  It will make going back a bit easier to deal with.  I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to spend her first 10 weeks at home with her.  She has changed so much and already has quite the personality!

Finally, I have to include a video of Lucas from Thursday morning.  It is pure nonsense, but it makes me smile!!
Enjoy the video and pictures!

2 Months Old!

We have successfully made it an entire 2 months!  On Tuesday, Avery officially reached this milestone and we cannot believe how quickly it has arrived!  She is now smiling whenever she sees mommy or daddy and especially when mommy sings to her or daddy has her in the carrier and she sees herself in the mirror.  Avery is more comfortable playing on her activity mat, is starting to sleep for longer stretches at night, only getting up around 2 and 5:30 which we consider a blessing!  Avery has had a few days at the baby sitter already and has done a really good job there too.  The other kids are loving "playing" with her so I am sure she will love playing with them for real when she gets older.

Today we took her for her 2 month shots.  Yes, they were as bad as everyone said.  Yes, Avery screamed and yes, mommy shed a few tears too.  However, she is asleep now and has been pretty happy all day.  We may not have a good sleeper on our hands, but she handles the shots like a champ.  Avery currently weighs 10 pounds 7 ounces and is 21 inches long.

Last week was homecoming at mommy's school district and thanks to some of mommy's friends, Avery was dressed and ready to celebrate!

This past year, there were four babies born in mommy's school and we were all out and about for homecoming!

Last weekend, grandma came to babysit so mommy and daddy could go cheer on the Buckeyes in Champaign.  Of course, I was dressed up to support them as well, just from the comfort of home and not in the cold and rain!

I have enjoyed napping with daddy though most of all!

Here I am at 2 months old!

And again loving on my teddy bear...

And finally I love my bath time!
