Silly, silly girl!

We are loving this 18 month age with Avery.  Sure, there are days where she is more difficult than others, but overall, she is really funny!  Let me show you the ways!

Recently, Avery wants to help us with our chores, inluding picking up and putting everything into empty clothesbaskets.  Sometimes this includes mama.

Or sometimes Avery and mama!

Avery also loves to dance and sing and yell and giggle.  This is her dancing at Auntie Ashley's condo on her birthday.

For each holiday, Ga and Papa C. send Avery stickers.  She has recently begun really understanding how they work.  Or so we thought she did.

Avery has done a really great job of using her utensils.  She can manipulate her fork and spoon to get every last piece of food during meals.  Well, except when it is yogurt or oatmeal I guess...

Bath time is a time for all or her friends.  And every night we say hi to them, wash them and kiss them goodnight.

Even though we give her a bowl for her snacks, sometimes it is just easier to lay them out all over our table.

For the past couple months, Avery has loved putting shoes on.  She tries every night and usually all of her shoes end up in the living room.  The other night she decided she was going to wear daddy's slippers instead.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Lucas' third birthday.  They were so excited to play together!

Sharing her toys with Aunt Judy and Aunt Donna

Avery made Lucas a book for his birthday full of pictures of the two of them together.  Avery liked reading it with Auntie Robyn...

and then listening to both of her GiGi's read it to her over and over again!
I love this picture!!!  <3

And speaking of reading, Avery reads all the time!  Instead of us or papa reading to her,

she has begun reading to us.  It is the sweetest thing I have every heard.  Each morning and afternoon on the way to daycare, this is what she does.

Love from Bloomington!

Winter, winter, where are you?

With the up and down temperatures lately, we are not quite sure what season it is, or how to dress!  Thankfully,we did get some snow, and Avery was so excited!

Avery was so excited to get outside and go for a walk in the little bit of snow that we did get.

Another favorite activity for Avery is playing dress up!  She loves this tutu and recently has started wanting to wear mine and Dave's shirts, shoes or jackets!

Just a few extra pictures of her super cuteness!

She loves her new Sesame Street dolls from daddy!

Kisses at dinner  :)

Last weekend while I was grocery shopping, Dave sent this picture.  Avery was having her snack and then proceeded to take out all of my measuring cups and then sort her cereal into the measuring cups using a measuring spoon!

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone's 2012 is off to a great start!  As I am writing this, there is snow falling from the sky, college football on TV and my two favorite people are happily napping.  Tomorrow both Dave and I will return to work and Avery will go back to her sitters.  I am so thankful that I have a job where I am able to spend so much time with my family.  It has been such a great two weeks (even though Avery has had a cold, a double ear infection and might be working on some new teeth) and I am not sure I am entirely ready to go back to work.

We took Avery to the Children's Discovery Museum and did a little grocery shopping and combine driving.

Lucky for us, there were even a few days where the weather was nice enough to play outside.

Our New Year's Eve was a quiet one.  Michael and Thayre came over with the kids for dinner and to ring in the new year.  Waylon, Nellie, and Avery all get along so well and are pretty funny together.  I know there are a lot of pictures, but they were so cute that I couldn't stop capturing it!

Happy New Year!

A Month of Christmas!

That title is no joke!  We have literally been celebrating Christmas since the first weekend in December!  Our holiday season was very blessed and this year was even more fun to watch the excitement in Avery's eyes than it was last year.  However, her enjoyment ran out near the end!  Hope your holidays were relaxing and you enjoyed time with your families as well!

Our holiday season always begins with a family outing the night before the Nemer Christmas party.  This is a chance for my dad's mom's side to all get together and party.  (Yes, our family is that big that my grandma's side has their own party!)  It was at a wonderful restaurant and even Santa came to visit.  Both events provide lots of opportunities for Avery's to be loved on!

Sorry Avery, your aunts will put anything on your head!

First gift from Santa

The following week, our little zoo in Bloomington had a night of zoo lights.  We had the chance to go and see the animals at night (many of which were not happy to be awake!) and Avery got to see a couple of Santa's reindeer who were resting up before their big night.  The night then ended with a ride on the merry-go-round!

The night before Christmas Eve, we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Glacinski.  Avery sure was spoiled that night!
Of course we have to kiss all the ornaments!

Ready for bed!

That night, Santa came to visit our house since we would be in Chicago for Christmas morning.  Avery was so excited to see all those gifts under the tree.  After she opened a couple presents, she was no longer very interested in that activity anymore.  Thankfully mom and dad were more than willing to open up her gifts for her.

Those are for me???

Avery became obsessed with The Elf on the Shelf movie this season.  Thankfully we DVR'd it- or unfortunately!  About 6 times a day she asks for it (usually after finding our Elf) and if we don't respond right away, she brings us the remote and places it in our hands.  So, that morning after finding our elf in the tree, all she wanted was to watch the Elf movie- even though Santa brought her this really cool easel!

That night we left for Chicago to spend Christmas Eve at my grandma's house.  A fixture at her house is this creepy doll that everyone tries to avoid...except Avery!  She loved her immediately and wanted to carry her wherever she went.  This proved to be difficult since the doll is twice Avery's size!

Check out those spooky eyes!!!

Then of course there was some silly time with Lucas as the two of them danced around and tackled each other!  Such a lady!

Finally, Christmas Day arrived!  Of course, there were plenty more gifts to open up.  Avery had had enough of this whole opening gifts thing by this point.  She spent a lot of that day crying and miserable.  Maybe it was teething, maybe it was the cold she had, maybe it was all the traveling, people and commotion.  Either way, we managed to get a few good pictures.

Merry Christmas from the Glacinski's!
On Monday before heading home, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Judy and Uncle Rich came to visit with GiGi Johnson.  Unfortunately, by this time, Avery was finished with pictures, finished with people and about done with Christmas!  We got home Monday afternoon and she found the perfect way to unwind and relax. (I love the crossed feet!!)  Happy Holidays everyone!
